Searle
Wilfrid
Avery Searle operated initially from premises 31 Chapel St, Stonehouse, presumably they succeeded Frank Maitland some time after
1919, and by 1937 are listed at both 15 & 31 Chapel Street, Stonehouse.
In
1955 the company is listed at 65 Union St, Stonehouse possibly with
relocation attributed to the heavy bombing of the Chapel Street area during the war.
The
company is another that seems only to have left a trace in the form of copper
printing plates for its labels.
